Hee!

Found recipes for hand sanitizer -- made some with Thieves' Oil and some with a TeaTree/Lavender blend I like.

Made basic labels for those, the Thieves' Oil (neat and 10% bottles), Bug Off and After-Sun Spray.

Sanitizers are in 1 oz bottles w/ treatment pumps.

After-Sun Spray will be in 2 oz purple bottles with sprayers.

BugOff...dunno yet.  Likely in small glass dropper bottles for application to tent edges, dress hems, etc.

And all that with essential oils!

If you're making something for tents, make sure it doesn't qualify as a smellable, which would attract bears.

Didn't draw any when I used it the last 4 years, but I'll keep it in mind :)

Do bears like herbs such as thyme and lemongrass?

I'm not sure. I've just been trained, to keep bears away from anything that smells remotely like food (especially Irish Spring soap-- they LOVE it). And, when male bears are really close by, no film in the tent either, because the chemicals they use to prepare film smell a lot like female bears in heat.

...I'm trying to decide if that last bit is TMI or not.

We were grateful for the advice. No one in camp wanted to have a bear in their tent, angry because he couldn't find his new girlfriend.

Yeah, that would be taking one's art TOO far.
