Hazardous books

I love libraries.

I love library books.

Until I get hold of another book that has recently spent time a a smoking environment, and my eyes sting and tear until I cant see to read the book.




Bleargh.

That is even worse than the musty basement smell. I read once that you can put the book in a container of baking soda and that should remove the smell. Never tried it myself though so can't guarantee its effectiveness.

Smell, yes, somewhat...allergens, not so much. And the library doesn't like their books coming back with white powder in various crevices!

Ahh, I thought it was a swapped book. That's even worse because library book smell is the best!
