IMO, Astrology is pseudo-science and not reliable. Same with Tarot and other practices. Yes, I read Tarot -- I've never said it is a science, infallible or reliable. Yes, I've has my chart done by someone I respect in other arenas, but I maintain that in my experience, astrology, tarot, the runes, pendulums, et cetera ad infinitum are ways to get you to pay attention to your subconscious -- the part of your brain that processes things while you're not paying attention.
To those of you who are flailing wildly at the idea that you now have to readjust your personalities and daily lives to reflect your new signs: I really hope you're being facetious.

I've been an Aquarius all my life. Maybe technically I'm a Capricorn now, but I don't care.

Most Eastern astrology systems use the sidereal zodiac, which changes with the precession of the equinoxes. Western astrology, however, uses tropical astrology, which does *not*. So, unless you're into Mesopotamian or Chinese astrology, your Zodiac signs *haven't* changed, especially your Sun sign, which is the one everybody reads in the newspaper.
[edit to add] Zia, I agree with you completely about divination in general[ it's an art, *not* a science. This also explains why it's so difficult to do divination for oneself; the results are skewed by our own conscious and unconscious desires and fears. I tend to laugh at most dream interpretation books, for instance.

I'm sure you knew most or all of this already, but I just thought I'd show my support.

My Aunt Helene, a devout Catholic and a professional astrologer back in the 70s and 80s, had a great analogy she used to explain astrology; "God created all the heavens and the earth. He also put a hidden calculator* up there to keep track of how personalities were assigned to the newly-born."
This made sense to me as a teen, and just as much sense today. And I give as much credence to astrology as I do to Catholicism.
*pre-personal computers. She would have loved PCs as a better analogy.
