Dec. 21st, 2003 10:57 amOK. the formalities are over for 366 days...
Several people who SWORE they were coming, didn't...
RedLeaf made it! Yay!
(We think someone slipped her GHB on Wed night, though...two shots doesn't even AFFECT her, normally, and she was SICK. And doesn't remember anything about the evening. SCARY.)
(So I am really really happy she is OK and made it to the ceremony!)
Those who made it:
Debbie, Robin, Sherry, Tonya, Lady Galla and Lord William (and Galla's 2 children), Donna, Jeannie and John, RedLeaf and Hope, Tema, Sorchae and Dean and Kati and April, Captain Jack and Joy and Shadow, Sunne Daze, Jim, Veronica (a bit late, but she DID make it! Yay!), and of course Eldar and I.
The Handsal went off fairly smoothly, no-one dropped the rings, no one got too close to a candle.
(Handsal being another term for a Handfasting, and the one the Priestess decided to use.)
Yesterday (Saturday) we opened a card from where Eldar works, and they had given us $55! So we went to a movie (ROTK, of course) and that covered the movie, popcorn, lunch first...will write them a note today to deliver tomorrow.
The rest of the haul? (Which i was very suprised to get, btw--anytime someone asked i had said "Just show up, we have plenty"--which is the truth!)
2 picture frames, a B&N card, a buncha lavender herbal stoof, a mirror windchime, a candleholder with the sun and moon, a window-hanger-thingy of a star and colored marbles, and a Hurricane lamp for candles. Majorly wonderful stuff from majorly wonderful friends. Just Wow.
And doing Yule tonight with Sis (Sorchae). Games and cheeze dip and all that. Yay!
