Saw/heard "Tartanic" and "Maidens Whimsy", neither of whom I'd encountered before -- each worth hearing in their own way. Tartanic had the better energy/stage show (and a lot of NOISE!), but the Maidens did a lot of acapella (and you know that's harder than with instruments!)

Queen's Gambit ([personal profile] rowangolightly and [personal profile] thebruce, et. al.) were their usual brand of wonderful and did a few from their new CD, En Passant.

Dear Husband got new sandals -- ghillies? -- from one of the vendors, and I was able to trade a couple of amber necklaces for a reduction in price!  Ahh, barter :D

No barter on my new drum, though!  Pricey.....but I like it and it seems to like me.  And this one shouldn't shatter -- it'll dent and I can pound a dent back out!

And a bit of Yule shopping.  Not telling what, but I'm sure they know for whom!

And DH got me a new Cameleon.  Three now in different colors.  Nice for running around and for Pagan Pride events, but not approved for vending at WhiteHart!

Tartanic is awesome as bagpipes always are. And Maidens are really growing on me. The strange thing is, I've never seen a Queen's Gambit show even though I've talked and joked with them and seen them on your LJ and other communites more times than I can count. I've REALLY got to change that next year because every time I've seen them at pub sing I really like their music.
