Lomg ago -- about 10 or 12 years -- I was taking beledi lessons. I found a website with "dance names" and their meanings from several Middle Eastern cultures. With help from a friend I narrowed it down to six I liked, and I just kept rolling them over in my mind until that combination seemd right!

Zia (ZEE ah) In Hebrew, a man's name; "moving" or "trembing"
Also: Italian for aunt; also from the language of the Zia Pueblo, "the sun" or acceptance (since the sun shines on all alike).

Nuray (noor AY) Turkish, light (of the) moon

Bifemmefatale named me. :) I needed a name change because of some coworker snoopiness and couldn't decide so she suggested it (she knew that was one of my fave Heinlein books).
