Followup to the Waffle House incident

Phoned the manager this morning....not only did i get assurance that Miss Chippie would be getting a discussion-with, next time Eldar and I go there it is on the House. For the FAMILY--all who were with us last time!

I really hate having to make that sort of phone call, though.

Also, took the car in for an oil change, and mentioned to the service writer that the fan switch wasn't kicking on the compressor for the AC like it should--the switch was burned, so that got replaced. N/C, of course, being under warranty. And they washed Carmina, just part of the package! ;)

Of course, the next time you eat there, you're likely to get food that's been tampered with. It happens a lot more often than people would ever suspect.

generally this would be a worry but the kitchen is behind the counter in full view of the customers. you actually watch your food being cooked. as such even the waitress has no time to tamper with your food as you can see cook hand it to her all in full view of either yourself or any of the customers at the counter.

i know it is unpleasant to make that sort of phone call but i am happy you did. most people would get angry and not do anything about it then miss chippie continues being her cheery lil self with poor service and bad attitude. see the thing is that you did some people a service because this waitress might mess with the elderly and/or mentally disabled by giving them the same price and although they might think it was wrong they might pay it. i have seen this happen time and time again. in fact it happened with mercedes not long ago.
we where at walmart and she had 3 dolls which where on clearance for 3.00 each=9.00 and a DVD which was 5.88 so the total should have been 15.98 or there abouts with tax. the woman rang her up for 25.95 which mercedes was upset because she only had 16.00 and was sure she was right about the price. she started to argue it and the woman seeing this was an 8 year old child tried to convince mercedes she was wrong saying one of the dolls was 5.00. this is when i stepped in and pointed out they where all the same doll only different names and that they where all marked for 3.00, the woman seeing an adult finally repriced it. so mercedes pipes up and says "it's not nice to try and rip off little kids, you do that to old people too?" i just had to snicker as we walked away. LOL! go mercedes! so i gotta say you go girl!! i am happy you made that call!
