Writer's Block: Acquired taste

I don't even know it this counts as "weird", but here's two of my favorites:
1) Tuna Sammich -- water-pack chunk-light tuna, drained and squeezed, with Miracle Whip on toasted wheat bread. No fancy "sandwich goop" or chopped pickles or tartar sauce or celery, JUST the three things mentioned. I'll never understand why people have to glop things on.
2) this constitutes a full meal and then some: Two or three SteakUmms, fried or griddled, on wheat bread -- no sauces or dressings or cheese or anything else, TYVM -- a bowl of air-popped popcorn with or without salt, a couple of cubes of Medium Cheddar and some Kosher Dill Pickle spears.
The odd bits for both these are that they have to be just. that. .way. Med cheddar, not mild or sharp or colby; MW, not mayo; chunk light, not the fancypants Albacore....the details :D

Date: 2010-06-21 07:32 pm (UTC)How about this one: hot dog and peanut butter on a tortilla. Hot preferred (the pb runs out the bottom and goops all over your plate), but cold is perfectly acceptible, especially if it has nuts.

Date: 2010-06-22 03:30 am (UTC)As for tuna, Miracle Whip is the only way to go, but I do like the pickle chunks and some onion (very litte, but enough for some flavor) in mine. As for plain tuna or albacore...either will do especially since they got rid of the dolphin flavored ones.
