ALFs, HILFs, etc

has an interesting poll up today, one which got me to thinking (Danger!  Danger Will Robinson!) about aliens, UFOs, etc......

in all the "contact" books and articles I've seen--with the exception of the "Blue Book" stuff, which has no ACTUAL
contact--the contactee is Joe/Josephine Average.
Or a tad below on the IQ/RQ end of things. Therefore, credibility for me is severely damaged. 
(Yeah, "they couldn't make that up if they're so dumb!"  Right.)

If ALFs want to crossbreed on us--which I can't for a minute imagine--wouldn't they want to breed for the MOST intelligent, successful, etc?
Not because I have anything against humans, or that I think aliens must be wonderful--but do you want to breed with a dolphin? 
They're intelligent, after all!

SO--and this is a two-parter--

1)  If you were an alien, would you want your species' genes mixed with the Cream-of-the-Crop, Forbes100, ISPE folks, or with the
less-educated,  "it-must-be-true-it-was-in-the-National-Enquirer" gawps that tend to get the interviews?

2)  ARE there "true story" contact books written by contactees from the upper end of the economic/social/intellectual range? 
     WHERE ARE THEY??????

Ah, but now you are walking in the whole subject of what makes any one human succesful. How does one define success? Intelligence may not equal success and some "successful" people seem down right dim. Perhaps an alien intelligence would have trouble discerning a human definition of success.

Or perhaps ALF's see us as "lower" life forms, much the way we see most animals. They might not want us much the same way we (well, most of us) wouldn't want to have sex with a cow or an ostrich.
