This is in a hotel -- Baymont Suites in Joplin.  We have reserved a Jacuzzi Suite (NON-smoking) for Friday and Saturday night, the ones we've stayed in before had a hideabed so that's room for two more -- I do NOT know how they are about "extra" people on the floor!

I figure since I'll be in classes all weekend, this way I can maybe at least visit with a few people!

Maud Chandler (WhiteHart) & Angus MacTaggart (Angus the Loud)

Let Angus know tomorrow at workshop, or email fifthhouse @ gmail.com (no spaces) or phone me if you have my #   :)  (Also the hotel has an indoor pool....)

Well, I won't be going to the Keltoi RenFaire in Joplin -- classes scheduled both days, and every academy weekend but one!  Of course, if we're all doing well in our classes, maybe I can con cajole the instructors into a field trip :D

as a RenFaire Wench with your frontal assets on display if you're going to snarl at anyone looking at them?

And why, for V'ger's sake, did you invest so much time and/or money in that StarFleet Admiral's uniform if you're not allowing pictures

But for the sake of common sense, if you don't want it seen, COVER IT UP!  I'm almost pathetically straight, and I enjoy the view at a Renaissance Faire as much as anyone -- and if MotherBob offered me a wubby, then by dingies I'd play!  (And she may take this as an invite if she so chooses -- but I reserve the right to blush!)

Now I do generally ask before taking a picture, even if it's just holding up a camera and looking hopeful to avoid interrupting someone (unless there's already a storm of flashbulbs going off), but in the case of the Admiral's uniform you could have said "I'm not up for pictures just now, but thanks" rather than "RAWR!  NO!!" and stomping off!  I mean, it's a compliment, isn't it?

***Please note, I am NOT saying that wearing a short skirt means you deserve to be raped, or that the "wrong" color hat means you should be shot.***

Boy, this is my week to blow off steam, huh?  <G>

Well, work's been a little slow lately.  Rather than doing a layoff, we are working a 4-day, 32-hour week for the next 10 weeks.

We DO get partial unemployment for that one day off per week, or can take vacation, etc if we'd rather.

Heh..

More time to work on candles and stoof!!!!

While I realise that this may be a pain for some folks there, it's a blessing for me.

The weekend was a lot of fun --  got to see Queen's Gambit several times, got all fangirl on Heather Alexander, bought lots of wonderful "magical musical disks," and did some window shopping.

Got minor advice on vending at White Hart in case I'm approved.  Took several Dragon'sBlood soaps and handed them out WITH tips to various performers.  I'm shameless.

Tried the blacksmith thing and decided that's WAY too much work.
