Applied for a Payroll clerk thingy in Springfield. (They said they'd train!)
The cat just tried to climb me, slipped, and punctured me rather well. When I stop leaking blood, I'll change shirts and set this one to soak while I'm out. *sigh* At least it wasn't a "good" shirt.
Remind me again why I wanted a cat?
I did very mean things today.
Jan. 3rd, 2007 07:09 pm#1) Took Vampie to the vet for a well-kitty checkup and vaccinations. This also involved her harness and leash, her carrycase, and a car ride. And Revolution drops on the back of her pretty neck when we got home. NOT-happy kitty! Though she seems to have forgiven me.
#2) Got Jazzy a harness that fits and put that and a leash on her and we went for a short walk to get her used to the idea that Mum is NOT going to let her run into the street. (Cars + Puppy = not a good idea.) She did her level best to get me to leave/take it off, but lost the fight and was totally humiliated in front of her friends. Then a treat and lots of petting when we got back in, and I'm on probation with her. She still isn't too sure about it.

is being called Eris, until she tells us differently. She's still in "hide" phase, but comes out on recon when she thinks no-one is paying attention.
Floofy "dusty-black" fur, mostly -- longer than a dsh, but not persian-type thank Bast --
two white patches on chest and belly. Whiskers are droopy. Will take pic shen she permits it :)
Of course, I had to be sure she has all her claws, as cats do tend to be rather FAST about sneaking out between one's ankles while the door is open...!

Lady at work has a "dumped" cat she's been looking after since the cat's former humans moved away and LEFT her...there's gotta be a special place in hell for people who dump critters after taking responsibility for 'em. Or several extra incarnations tacked on to give 'em time to learn better.
