It's a sound effect. It's just a respelling of "caw." I do rather like Egyptian myth; several of my flist are Kemetic Pagans, and several are Stephen King fans; I enjoy Cirque du Soleil just fine. However, I am not a member of Kappa Alpha*, nor, when I adopted that fandom name, did I realize that "ka" is the first syllable of Japanese "karasu," crow. :)
