There is a /thing/ (place, group, whatever) where small businesses, crafters, etc send samples of their wares to have them put in random boxes and shipped to people who pay for these boxes.  Jewelry, soap samples, notecards, sometimes just a business card OR a discount coupon.

The crafters provide things to get the advertising -- and the boxes sell for various amounts plus postage.

Rigth now, prices on their website range from $75 to $125 for boxes of  things that were provided gratis.

Of course, these are special edition boxes.

The once-a-month boxes are about $30 plus postage.

Does this sound odd to anyone else?

I'd be very suspicious....but then I'm suspicious by nature.

are you talking about the little black box? those are extremely popular, and sell out quickly.

have never bought one myself. results seem to vary from box to box.
