[Error: unknown template qotd] Oh heck yeah.  Every car I've owned has been named; the current one named herself.

In order:  Loretta (red '76 Duster); Tina; PrettyBaby (a big blue land-yacht); CatShadow (silver/gray Merc Tracer); there was another big ol' blue tank (Abrams, as Daughter reminded me below) in there somewhere, forget what it was called, might be a good thing....; and the current lovely is Carmina.

I've a knife named "Ungrateful Child" (bonus points to whomever can give me the reference for that).
TK, you should know this without having to think about it!

Oddly, the laptop is NOT named and I've had it 4 years!

~grin~ I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this with cars. My first car worth calling a car was a red '97 Explorer named Dovienya; a few months ago, I spent two weeks driving a rented silver Ford 500 that just screamed "Sophie". The van I've had for the past two years has yet to develop a name, though, and I'm nervous driving it. Wonder sometimes which gives rise to which, there...

Maybe it hasn't told you it's name for a reason! I'd be nervous too!

*blushes*
I name everything. Well, not everything, but...fun things.
Like my car (don't let her know I called her a car!) is Miss Sophia. Said with italic emotion. *heh*

I named all of my stuffed sharks. My laptop (Robbin Hood), though not this PC...hrm. That's strange :/
I named my socks, well, some of them. I have Crabbies, Grouchies and YAY!MONKEYS! (the hubs knows the names so if I need them to, he'll get them for me)
I name my houseplants, too.
I used to have a rock named Hank I carried everywhere...then he got washed with my jeans and turned into Mud.

*I think I should be admitted somewhere....*
HA!

Does Miss Sophia talk to you? Mina does to me sometimes!

Yes, but I first learned it from a "Peanuts" comic strip where Linus quotes it! :D

Also, do you think they count stuffed animals for the Writer's Block question, or is that too obvious? Like, my cuddly raven is Edgar (duh) Matthew (for Morpheus's pet raven in the Sandman comics).

I would count it, as long as it isn't the name on the label from when it was in the store, or something totally marketed like "strawberry shortcake" for a StrShk doll.
