New Year again, huh?
Dec. 31st, 2005 06:54 pmThere's a tale that whatever you're doing on NYD, you'll be doing that all year long. Maybe I should be certain to spend the day out in the shed making candles!
I'd LOVE to be able to AFFORD to do that for a living. Right now, though, the timeclock is paying the bills and supporting my habit.
So, IF I set any goals this year, it'll be to get the bills paid down. Not all the way, I want to keep it real, but to have the credit cards at zero by the time the car is paid off in 4.5 years.
Steps toward this:
1) Pack a lunch more often--cheaper and better for me.
2) Less "running around" to bookstores and stuff 'cause I tend to spend money there.
2.a) More Library--the one in town, not the one in Springfield that now costs me $50 per year.
The Local can get me anything that the other can, it just takes longer and requires actual physical
trips IN rather than logging in, checking email, and picking up at the drive-through.
AND they look at me funny sometimes.
3) Getting up at a regular time and doing SOMETHING in the Shed each day before work. (Little difficult to
get my lazy bum in gear after a 10-hour day plus 1.8 hrs drive time means getting home at 0130, but
there ya go. Need to get a routine down.)
Your turn!!
